King Charles does not seem to have the choice to meet his son Prince Harry as he fears their chat would be leaked the Duke of Sussex.

Reports suggest that Harry has “agreed” to invite the monarch, Prince William and some other royals to the 2027 Invictus Games.

However, former Buckingham Palace spokesman Dickie Arbiter claimed that Harry still has a long way to go before rebuilding trust with his family.

He told The Sun that both Charles and William remain deeply hurt by the Duke’s actions and bombshell public remarks against the royals.

“I think we have to wait and see how this moves on as to whether there is an apology,” the expert claimed.

“He's got to clear a lot of bad air to get them there, because William really doesn't want to have anything to do with him,” he added.

Arbiter said that while Charles still loves his son, he is cautious about meeting him privately as he fears their conversations could be leaked.

“As a parent is slightly different. He loves his son, but he's very hurt by what his son has done, and there doesn't seem to be any move of rapprochement,” he said.

“He made that silly comment a few weeks ago that he doesn't know how long his father has got. I mean, you don't say things like that in public, so he's got a lot of ground to make up.

“The ground is with a capital ‘a’ apology, and you've got to mean it. But at the moment, his father won't see him because anything he says will be all over the airwaves, all over the internet, in a nanosecond.

“And at the moment, he can't trust him.”
