The shocking reason behind Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's split has been revealed.
An insider spilled to People magazine that the poor reception to Katy's new album 143 led to tension with the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
“Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,” the confidant told the publication. “It made her very stressed."
"Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension," the source added.
Another source revealed to Us Weekly that Katy is "upset" over her breakup with Orlando.
"Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life," the insider said, referencing the singer's divorce from Russell Brand.
As per the confidant, the Dark Horse hitmaker is dealing with a split by “keeping busy” with her Lifetimes tour.
For those unversed, Katy and Orlando got engaged in 2019 and welcomed their first daughter in August 2020.
