Daisy Edgar-Jones is set to star in the upcoming remake of Jane Austin’s beloved novel Sense and Sensibility.

The film is in the works at Focus Features. The remake will be directed by Georgia Oakley and produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films and India Flint of November Pictures and Jo Wallett.

The last movie adaptation of the Sense and Sensibility starred Kate Winslet and Emma Thomson as Marianne and Elinor Dashwood respectively.

The novel centers around the sisters as they face financial ruin after their estate is inherited by a stepbrother and they’re made to leave their house. The sisters also face challenges in their love lives.

In the new remake, Daisy will play Elinor, per Variety. As for the role of Marianne, no actress has been named yet.

Daisy took to Instagram to hint at her role, sharing a photo of herself reading the novel.

Fans in the comments went wild over the news, with one asking, "You’re playing Elinor?" (Sic)

The Normal People star replied with the side eye emoji.

Another gushed, "Stop it right now is this a hint?????"
