Prince William to travel to Switzerland without Kate Middleton

Prince William is expected to fly to Switzerland in July to cheer on the Lionesses, England women's national football team, as they defend their Euros crown.

According to the son, the future king will attend at least one group game to watch the match.

According to the publication, their first Group D game is against France in Zurich on July 5.

They then play the Netherlands in the same city on July 9 and Wales in St Gallen on July 13.

“He is looking forward to supporting the team and wishing them good luck,”  the news outlet quoted William's spokesman as saying.

The report did not mention whether his wife, Kate Middleton, would also be accompanying him to Switzerland.

According to observers, given her health issues it's highly unlikely that the Princess of Wales will be with her husband at the football match.

The patron of the FA likely to meet the squad in person to give them his best wishes before they depart for the tournament, the report said.

Wills, an Aston Villa fan, is often seen supporting the men’s and women’s national sides.

Speaking about his daughter Princess Charlotte to  the women’s squad last year, he said, “She wants me to tell you she’s really good in goal . . . a budding star.”

In April, Prince William and his eldest son Prince George were spotted  cheering on Aston Villa as their favorite side took on Paris Saint-Germain in a Champions League quarter final matchup in Paris.
