Aimee Lou just opened up about the "vile" death threats she received.
In the wake of the US-Iran war, Wood posted some anti-war opinions, particularly sharing British politician Tony Benn's anti-war speech from 1998 where he stated how it’s the civilians that are most affected by war.
The White Lotus star later returned to Instagram to reveal that since posting that video she has received multiple threats.
"Love getting vile threats of violence and death just for saying I'm against war and innocent people dying... The world is crazy," the 31-year-old wrote over the top of a selfie.
This comes after the US military bombed three nuclear facilities in Iran amid the ongoing Iran-Israel war, which the U.S. President Donald Trump declared a "very successful attack."
Aimee Lou Wood is also not the only celebrity to address the attack as actor Mark Ruffalo also used his social media to speak against war, condemning the president’s action.
"Trump just bombed Iran without Congressional approval, illegally pushing us into a dangerous new war," the Marvel star wrote, adding, "The American people don't want it. And we can stop him if Congress acts quickly."
"The Iran war powers resolutions in the House and Senate will come up for a vote to direct Trump to stop carrying out his unauthorized war,” he concluded.
