Mild earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Karachi early Monday morning, particularly around the Quaidabad area, according to the Seismological Centre.

The tremors were recorded at 3:14am, with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale.

The epicentre was located in the Malir region, and the depth of the quake was measured at 8 kilometres.

No casualties or damage were immediately reported, but residents in the affected areas reported brief shaking and were left concerned by the sudden disturbance.

On June 16, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake had struck Balochistan’s Kalat district, sparking panic among residents.

According to the seismic centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicentre of the earthquake was located 8 kilometres southeast of the Kalat district.
