Sabrina Carpenter dethrones Ed Sheeran

Sabrina Carpenter just achieved a major milestone in her music career.

The prolific pop star just broke the chart record with one of her albums now holding the longest consecutive streak in the top five UK album chart.

As per the Official Charts Company, the Espresso hitmaker achieved this milestone by the grace of her wildly successful album, Short N’ Sweet, which held on to the top 5 album charts for 43 consecutive weeks.

Sabrina surpassed Ed Sheeran who previously held the record with 42 consecutive weeks for his album =, which he released in 2021.

This comes after the Please Please Please singer released her Billboard Hot 100 topping track, Manchild, off her upcoming album, Man’s Best Friend.

Taking to her official Instagram account, Sabrina Carpenter announced:

“My new album, “Man’s Best Friend” is out on August 29, 2025. i can’t wait for it to be yours x”

While the iconic rock band, Oasis has also rejoined the top five list with their collection Time Flies … 1994-2009 reaching number two on the UK albums chart as the highly anticipated Oasis Live ’25 tour nears its beginning.
