Christina Ricci remembers being a party animal for most of her teenage years.

The actress, now 45, made the admission in a recent episode of SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live.

"There was a period of six years, [from] 16 to 21 when I was a bit of a party animal," Ricci recalled.

"But then, you know, that's not really bad — to be in your house binge-watching television by the time you're 21, with dogs."

She said that despite how she "went through a period of time when I was like a feral creature," she "had a really wonderful publicist" at the time who "kept me pretty much out of a lot of tabloids."

"I mean, I was in a lot, but kept me out of the bulk and the most damaging ones," Ricci added.

The Casper star recounted how her partying days started when she and her mother moved from Montclair, New Jersey, to New York City.

At her previous institution, Montclair High School, "There were kids from other counties [who] were coming in [and from] other schools that didn't know me, so then I was getting made fun of a little bit and singled out," Ricci explained.

Once they relocated in 1995 and got her enrolled in the Professional Children's School, they "had a fabulous time living in Little Italy," in the same building as supermodels Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, and Christie Brinkley.

She recalled getting her first invite on the night they moved in as "somebody from Michael Stipe's company, Sandy Stern, emailed me and was like, 'We're having this party if you want to come.' "

"And I put my Anna Sui baby tee on, my Carhartts and my Fluevogs and my backpack, and I walked to the Bowery Bar and they let me in," said the Now and Then star, who was only 15 at the time.

The Mermaids star also eventually became a mother of two: sharing a 10-year-old son, Freddie, with ex-James Heerdegen and a 3-year-old daughter, Cleo, with husband Mark Hampton.
