Marvel marketing trick for 'Thunderbolts' revealed

In Thunderbolts, the team of misfits heroes at the end was revealed as the New Avengers in a press conference by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

But Florence  Pugh, who played Yelena, said the production decided to keep the twist a secret by shooting a fake version.

"We shot a version where she was like, 'The New Thunderbolts!'" she told EW. "And everyone was like, 'Woo!' And then we took all of the background [actors] out and shot Julia's line, which was kind of cool."

In other news, Robert Downey Jr. raved about Ironheart stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Thorne and welcomed them into the MCU family.

The clip of the Iron Man star was played while the stars were on Good Morning America. "Ms. Thorne, I couldn't be happier than to be seeing you bring Riri Williams to life," the actor said in a pre-recorded message.

He continued, "But, the Hood has me nervous. Is the hood green? Please tell me Mr. Ramos is not replacing me as Dr. Doom via Parker Robbins. Is there something they're not telling me?"

"Long story short, Iron Man loves Ironheart," Robert capped off.

Ironheart will be out on June 24.
