Kate Middleton has pulled out of Royal Ascot in a shocking change to the royal family's schedule which featured the Princess of Wales on the carriage list.
According to royal correspondent, Cameron Walker, "I understand The Princess is disappointed not to be there today - she strives to find the right balance as she fully returns to public facing engagements."
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the journalist wrote, "The Princess of Wales is not longer attending Royal Ascot today, even though she is printed on the carriage list."
He said that King Charles, his wife Queen Camilla and the monarch's eldest son Prince William are still attending.
The future Queen attended Trooping the Colour on Saturday, and visited the V&A East Storehouse last week.
The journalist who is associated with GB News said it was not immediately known "why there appears to be a last minute change to her plans."
Kate Middleton has been making a gradual return to royal duties since she completed her chemotherapy in August last year.
In January, Princess Catherin said she was in remission from cancer.
King Charles and Queen Camilla on Tuesday led a procession on the first day of the racing event.
They were joined by Princess Anne and other members of the British royal family.
