Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer got emotional as he marked the Father’s Day on Sunday.
Taking to Instagram, Spencer shared a lovely portrait of his and Princess Diana’s father with a heartbreaking statement.
He said, “On Fathers’ Day, I think how lovely it is that of all the many portraits - from over the centuries - that hang at @althorphouse the only one where the sitter is happy and smiling is that of my father.”
Charles Spencer continued, “Gone at just 68, 33 years ago, my father’s portrait was painted posthumously by the very clever Paul Brason - capturing a very kind, caring and thoroughly decent man, at ease with himself.”
Diana brother's emotional statement comes a day after 2025 Trooping the Colour where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not invited, marking their third consecutive exclusion from the royal event.
Despite Prince Harry's recent call for reconciliation, insiders say the rift with the royal family is deepening.
King Charles reportedly remains distant due to trust issues, and Prince William is firmly against mending ties.
The last time Meghan and Harry attended the military parade was in 2022, during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.
However, Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis attended the 2025 Trooping the Colour for the King’s Birthday Parade.
