Blake Lively reportedly “cried with relief” after the Judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
An insider shared with People Magazine that A Simple Favor star is “obviously relieved” Judge Lewis J. Liman dropped Baldoni’s lawsuit.
Speaking of her reaction to the news, the source said Lively “obviously relieved. They both are," referring to Reynolds.
"She feels vindicated,” they said of the actor and added that “everyone,” including her legal team, “is happy."
The publication also add that the actor "cried with relief" upon learning of the Judge’s decision on the legal issues.
Her lawyers Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb also said that the decision is a "total victory and a complete vindication" for Lively and the others whom "Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties dragged into their retaliatory lawsuit, including Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane and The New York Times."
They added in their first statement, "As we have said from day one, this '$400 million' lawsuit was a sham, and the Court saw right through it.”
“We look forward to the next round, which is seeking attorneys’ fees, treble damages and punitive damages" from the Wayfarer parties who they say "perpetrated this abusive litigation,” the statement added.
The Judge decided to throw out the $400 million lawsuit which had claimed that Lively and Reynolds tried to blackmail Baldoni and hurt his reputation, while also dismissing his $250 million defamation case against The New York Times.
