Maren Morris shares rare insigts into coparenting relationsip with ex Ryan Hurd

Maren Morris got candid about her co-parenting journey with ex-husband Ryan Hurd.

During a recent chat on the Dear Chelsea podcast on June 5, the country singer shared that her relationship with ex husband has improved since their 2023 split.

“We're over a year out now... we get along now and have moved past a lot of it,” Morris began. “We're neighbors, and I’m just so fortunate we’ve put our son above everything else.”

Morris, who shares a 5-year-old son named Hayes with Hurd, praised her and Hurd's ability to focus on parenting, calling them “great co-parents.”

Even though the pair parted ways after five years of marrige, Morris admitted that they still care deeply for each other.

“We have the highest respect,” she noted. “But there’s also that sadness that two people who love each other can’t make it work.”

In the end, Morris believes they made the right choice.

“We both knew it was probably going to be better this way, which is a success,” she added.
