Ryan Reynolds on Wednesday took to Instagram to share his thoughts about Canadian actor and comedian John Candy as he promoted his upcoming documentary.
His post came after it was announced that “John Candy: I Like Me,” a documentary from director Colin Hanks and producer Ryan Reynolds, will open the 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival. It’s set to screen on Sept. 4 at Roy Thomson Hall.
Sharing the actor's picture, Reynolds, wrote, "As some of you know, I’ve included John Candy easter eggs in a lot of my films. Because his films and his life mean so much to me. Today is an emotional day — not just because our documentary, “I Like Me” will be opening but because we’re one step closer to what will be a global John Candy moment this fall."
Taking to his Instagram stories, Hollywood star Channing Tatum said he can't wait to see the documentary.
"I'm dying to see this. He had such an immense effect on my life as kid watching his movies and later as a creative," Channing Tatum wrote while mentioning Ryan Reynolds.
