Meghan Markle hits jackpot with Harry and Lilibets help

Meghan Markle has raked in thousands of new followers on Instagram with her posts shared on Lilibet's fourth birthday.

The Duchess of Sussex, who  hit 3 million followers late last month, saw an exponential increase in her followers  during the last 24 hours.

The former US actress shared back to back two posts with her daughter as her second child turned four.

In the first post, she marked Lilibet's birthday by sharing two pictures with her daughter.

Hours later, Meghan Markle shared a post on behalf of her husband, Prince Harry, featuring the youngest son of King Charles and his daughter.

Just as people thought she was done with her social media celebrations of Lilibet's birthday, the Duchess of Sussex took her fans by surprise by sharing an old video from a maternity ward where the couple's second child was born.

In the clip, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are seen dancing to the tunes of an English song, something which came as shock to many royal fans as it appeared to be a deliberate step away from royal decorum and tradition.

Meghan's followers count which stood a little more than three million at the start of the day rose to 3.3 million followers on Wednesday.

The former "Suits" actress returned to Instagram on January 1, 2025 and has been using the platform to promote her business online.

Given how she receives backlash from some royal fans regardless of what she does on social media, some people  are expected to accuse her of using her daughter to promote her Instagram account.
